FIRREA фин., амер. закон "О реформировании [реформе\], оздоровлении [восстановлении\] и контроле финансовых институтов"* (закон, направленный на поддержку неплатежеспособных ссудно-сберегательных ассоциаций и реформирования системы надзора за их деятельностью; упразднил Федеральную корпорацию страхования ссудно-сберегательных ассоциаций и создал два новых фонда страхования депозитов: Фонд банковского страхования и Страховой фонд сберегательных организаций; наделил Финансовую корпорацию для урегулирования полномочиями по финансированию ликвидации неплатежеспособных сберегательных ассоциаций; установил новые требования к величине капитала ссудно-сберегательных ассоциаций; содержал требование о том, чтобы сберегательные учреждения отказались от инвестирования в бросовые ценные бумаги и придерживались тех же правил отбора активов для инвестирования, что и коммерческие банки; создал Трастовую корпорацию для урегулирования и Управление по надзору за сберегательными учреждениями; принят в 1989 г.; распространенное неофициальное название — закон "О спасении ссудно-сберегательных ассоциаций")
